Family day

We had a great day today! It has snowed lightly all day, but it didn't stop us from getting out of the house.

We went to Augusta and went to Old Navy to spend Makenzie's gift card from Old Navy. I had a hard time finding anything for her. I really think the selection isn't that great, but I ended up finding her a cute little skirt and red jacket that goes with it. There were shoes to match the outfit, but they started in size 5, and wouldn't even come close to fitting her size 2 feet! The outfit is 12-18 months, because it didn't come any smaller. Needless to say, she won't be wearing that for a while! She is so tiny! Gus' birthday is today, so I told him he could spend the difference if he wanted, and he got a sweatshirt and two pairs of flip flops. After we cashed out, we got $20 in bonus bucks (I don't know if that's even what she called it, but sounds right, haha), so when we get our taxes back finally, we're going back to Augusta anyway, so I'm going to use that. I looked all over the place for the Rockstar jeggings and couldn't find them for the life of me until RIGHT before we left. I looked at ALL the other pants they have there, and they just don't look like they'd be flattering on me. I know I should try them on to see, but just looking at them, they look so roomy in the thighs and butt. I'm tall and skinny...I know, lucky me, why am I complaining? Well, it makes it hard sometimes to find jeans that fit right. Anyway, so I'll definitely be getting the jeggings next time, I guess as long as I like them when I try them on that is. I'm giving myself a limit on how much I can spend on clothes, but my intentions are once I buy new clothes, I'm getting rid of most of what I have now! It'll be nice to get rid of some of this crap and bring in some new :)

Gus has decided he wants to buy a new TV with some of his money. I think he's crazy, maybe because I'm not a big TV person (as in I barely ever watch it, and I don't let Makenzie watch much since it's not good for her). He wants either a 50 or 51 inch...no huge difference, price is the same...I can't remember what the difference between the two was. He also mentioned tonight that he'd like to get a new couch. I called Michelle to offer her one we have here, and we'll obviously hold onto the other til we decide. Our couch is so comfy because of how wide it is and how thick the cushions are...hopefully we can find something similar.

Makenzie is getting her molars and hasn't had fun with them. She sleeps fine and is usually even great during the day, but surely has her moments. She made herself gag and spit up twice in the car, and throw up once. I can't wait til she just has all her teeth haha.

Well, off for some family time :) I love weekends!
