Hello 2012!

2012, already! Oh, how time flies. I remember when I was pregnant and it was almost time to have Makenzie, everyone told me to enjoy all the little moments with her, because time would fly by. Sure, I believed them, but I had no idea just how fast that time would go.

Here we are, a whole year later. My baby girl is ONE! I couldn't be more proud of her. She makes me laugh every day. She has such a personality and is learning so many new things. I have another blog in which I started when Makenzie was born. It's a blog where I write to Makenzie when I feel like it, and just talk about moments in her life. I haven't shared it with anyone yet, as it's still in the works. Now that I have finally figured out this whole blogging thing a little, I'll work on that and share it with everyone. I'm happy that I've kept up with it. It'll be nice to look back on and remember all the little (and big!) moments. Time goes by way too fast!

The birthday celebration went well. I spent a whole day and a half on the go, and it was exhausting, but I was really happy with the how it turned out! I'm so thankful for all the great friends and family we have, they made it a memorable day. I will definitely plan more ahead of time next year, so maybe I won't have to stress so much the DAY OF! It still turned out great regardless though :)

Makenzie has her one year check up Thursday. She is doing so good! She is such a fast learner, and has been ahead on all of her milestones...smart little girl! She's a peanut, which is absolutely adorable of course :) I'm lucky enough to have a boyfriend who can and is willing to support us so that I can stay home with her. I like knowing I'm the one she spends most of her time with, and I'm the one teaching her all the new things she's learning. It took a while for us to decide whether or not this was a good idea, but it has been great. I'll go back to work eventually, but for now, I'm enjoying my time with her.

Anyway, now that I've figured this all out, I plan to keep you all updated more than I did with the old blog...whoever cares enough to read it that is ;) There's still a link on the right back to the old blog, because I have to keep it around so I can remember my pregnancy! :)
