Old Navy Tees and Tanks!

So, I got picked for the Pile On the Layers with Old Navy sample share through Crowdtap. As a member of the Old Navy Style Council, I received two coupons, redeemable each for two free best tees or tanks! I was able to keep one coupon for myself, and share one with a friend.

I chose to bring my friend, Tabby, and we went in the afternoon with our babies. We went into Old Navy and headed straight to the section with the tees and tanks. The color selections are great, and really get you anxious for Spring! I love the bright colors! There wasn't as much to choose from as what I had been seeing on the website, but there were still many great options! We each picked out a bunch of each to try on. Before we made it to the dressing rooms, the baby section sucked us in (big surprise, ha ha); so much cute stuff for our little ones!

We hit the dressing rooms and tried on everything we had put into our cart. To be honest, I didn't like the way the tees fit on me. I just didn't feel like they flattered my figure at all. I will say that I do like the color options, as well as the length. I'm always so uncomfortable in short shirts, and always tugging on them, but these are the length I look for. The tanks, I LOVE! I really was hoping to try on the racerback tanks, but didn't see them in the store. I really liked the look of those. What I felt the best in was the perfect rib knit tanks. They were flattering, and again, the perfect length. On top of that, they were comfortable! I ended up choosing to go with two rib knit tanks, one in pink, and one in blue. I love the colors; so perfect for Spring! Tabby ended up going with one of the best tees in grey, and a rib knit tank in pink. *The pictures below aren't necessarily our picks, just some things we tried on!*

We both also ended up getting two pairs of flip flops as well. Once again, something to get us looking forward to springtime and warmer weather! Living in Maine, we count down the days to nice weather :) I got a pair of blue and a pair of pink, perfect to go along with the tanks I chose!

When we got in line, I didn't really know what to expect. Sometimes people run into problems redeeming their coupons, sometimes it's a breeze. She scanned everything, but then when she scanned my coupon, the register kept beeping. I knew this probably wasn't a good thing. After trying a few times, she told me that the coupon was ringing up as a free dress (which IS one of the Old Navy sample shares, but the one AFTER this one). I didn't even have to say anything, because right away, she said the coupon clearly stated that it was for tees and tanks. We were both a little puzzled, but she managed to take care of the problem very quickly. I did end up having to pay a penny for each top, but of course that didn't bother me. The two girls working were friendly, helpful, and made our check out process as easy as possible. I'm happy with the sample shares I've been a part of, I haven't run into any major problems! They are always great there.

It's been a few weeks now since we were in to redeem our coupons. Tabby left a couple days after for Georgia, so they were perfect to take along on her trip! I was still in Maine, where the weather wasn't so nice. We actually got quite a bit of snow a few days later. However, the nice thing about Old Navy's tanks, is that you can wear them alone, or you can always layer as well! I love to layer, and usually wear a tank underneath everything. I had a bunch of tanks that were what I'd go to when I needed to have something another shirt, and once I got my free tanks from Old Navy, I ended up throwing them all away. The length of them isn't what I need, and they bunch up so easily! My Old Navy tanks are great though; they always stay put and are so comfortable. I also love that I can wear them with anything and look cute! They look good alone with a regular outfit, layered over another top, as a workout top, and even as a pajama top! For now, they have been great for me for layering and for working out, sleeping, or just lounging. I know that when we get more warm weather here, I will get even more use out of them! I can't wait for that!

I'm a little bummed that I lost a couple pictures I had taken. I had hung my tanks that I chose on the little hanger thing in the dressing room that said "LOVE IT!" and thought that was a great idea for a picture, but unfortunately, they seem to have disappeared :( But you all get the idea!
