Well, Makenzie's appointment went...okay I guess. She's just under 17 pounds, so she's still a tiny little thing. He's pretty sure it's just the way she is and always will be. Gus and I have always been small, so it's just like a genetic thing. I love little babies, but of course I want them to be healthy! We brought up how she throws her food on the floor, which I KNOW is normal for kids her age, but it just had me worried, with her being so small. He pretty much said it's a phase that'll pass, which is what I figured. And honestly, since her appointment, she's stopped throwing her food as soon as you put it in front of her. She eats til she decides she's done, THEN throws it haha. I've made sure to spread out the times when I breastfeed her, and make sure I'm giving her solids after she hasn't BF for a while, and she does do a lot better that way. So it's nice that I'm worrying less. She's gaining weight; might be slowly, but she is :) Oh, and this girl already looks like she has more of a tan than I do, ha! I was hoping I wouldn't pass on my pale skin, of all things! :p I was blessed with a BEAUTIFUL, happy, healthy baby girl.
I got a couple books in the mail the other day. One is supposed to help you learn how to use Photoshop visually. I'm excited, because just browsing through it, I've already learned a few things! The other is about exposure, and basically the other settings on a camera. Again, no, I don't intend to become a professional. But I will enjoy taking photos of my kids and my sisters kids even more when I know more what I'm doing.
Anyway, we have some exciting news coming hopefully this weekend or next. Well, I shouldn't say we, as people might take that as me and Gus (nooo!). I can't say much, so I don't know why I said anything at all haha. I think some people will be shocked by the news though! Keep an eye out for that ;)
Oh! We got Kenzie a ball pit yesterday. She seems to LOVE it. It's so cute! It's a little Disney Princess play yard, then we bought some extra balls for it so there would be plenty. She thinks it's so funny. I will have to post a picture once I have any.
I started my Jillian Michael's DVD again yesterday since we finally got a DVD player (we always used the PS3 which he always keeps in the bedroom). I seriously thought I was going to die this time, haha. It's hard to force yourself to keep going with something when it's hurting, but I guess that's the point. I'm going to keep with it this time, because I really want to get in shape for summer! We've already had some warm days and more to come, so it's got me in the mood :)
Other than all that, I don't think much is new around here. Same old :) I sure am looking forward to some warmer weather where we can get outside more. I have felt so cooped up, especially since I'm a stay at home mom. It will be nice to spend most of our days outside. Makenzie loves going outside to play! Lindsey lives next door with her kids, and Marcy is a couple houses up with Parker, so it'll be nice to have some people close by with young kids that we can get together with. And hopefully we can work out some playdates with the group Nikki and I started.
Alright, Makenzie is awake now, shaking her booty already to choo choo soul (I don't blame her, it's pretty catchy lol). I'm off to find her something for breakfast :)
*One of her favorite things to do...shop! This girl gets more attention from people than anyone I've ever seen, it's ridiculous! She loves people! This was one of the few moments she wasn't chanting at the top of her lungs, or trying to reach around to get everything I put in the cart, haha :)*
