Old Navy Bottoms Bonanza!

I was super excited when Crowdtap invited me to apply for a hosted party with Old Navy. If I got into the Old Navy Bottoms Bonanza, I would get to go with three friends, and we'd all get to choose a pair of bottoms and a pair of shoes for FREE! Even better, a few days later, I was accepted! I had done sample shares before, which is where you can bring one friend along, but I hadn't done a hosted party yet, and couldn't wait!

While I waited for my coupons to arrive, I thought of who I would bring along. I ended up deciding on three of my good friends; Kendra, Tabby, and Erica. I created an event on Facebook so that I could let the girls know all about it. I shared links with them to give them an idea of the options they would have. I had a lot of fun checking out all the different options myself, too! At first, I was thinking we were required to get shorts, which I was still excited about, but my excitement grew when I realized it was ANY bottoms! It takes a little while for it to warm up here in Maine, and we still have cool summer nights, so I definitely had my eyes on some new jeans! I had several ideas of which shoes and bottoms I wanted to try on, and couldn't wait to go into Old Navy with the girls to do so!

When we got to Old Navy, the girls asked some questions about what was okay to get. I had the coupons in hand so that we could be clear on what was allowed. We grabbed two carts, had two girls use each cart, and started our shopping! It was a lot of fun, and we filled up our carts pretty quickly. I was a little disappointed with the customer service this time around. Usually, I have nothing but good things to say about this store, but this time it felt a little awkward. We were followed around the store almost the whole time we were there, and got a lot of dirty looks from employees. I know that a group of girls coming in to go shopping and overloading a cart probably doesn't happen often, but when we're getting something for free, we are going to try things on! We had fun anyway and continued to do our thing. There were so many cute options! Some of us also found new shirts as well; we had to complete the outfit :-)

We headed to the fitting rooms once our carts were full; it was time to try everything on! I liked seeing what everyone's different picks were, and seeing all of us waddle out in our cute shoes (those dang little ties, haha!). We probably looked ridiculous running out each time to snap pictures, but we didn't care much. 

Here are a few of the things I tried on:

These are the Diva bootcut jeans. I was pretty excited to see they offered tall sizes in the store! I have long legs, and tall sizes are a must for me to be comfortable. When I tried them on though, they just didn't look right. I have a small butt, thighs, and hips. Holding them up and looking at them, they look pretty roomy in these areas, and they are. I was bummed, but I honestly have this problem almost everywhere, because of my body type. One of my friends had the same problem. So these ones were a no go.

Here are the Flirt jeans. I wanted to try on different styles, and picked these up, again in tall. I had the same problem with these as I did the Diva jeans. If your body type is more curvy than mine, you'd probably love these. I loved everything about them, other than they just don't flatter my butt, thighs, and hips! Pass on these.

There are the Diva shorts. I love them! They are super cute and fit well. They look almost too short in this picture, but they are actually the perfect length, for me anyway :-) They look really good with a cute, bright top also. I ended up buying these, although it wasn't what I used my coupon on.

And finally, these are the Rockstar jeggings. I think these are my absolute favorite thing in the whole store! I already own black ones, and I really loved them, but anything and EVERYTHING sticks to them, so I never wear them :-( I had a feeling I would be getting some in a different color when we went in, and I was right. Having small hips, thighs, and butt makes it really hard to find the right fit in those areas, but these are more fitted to your shape, which I love! They are perfect for me. I used to be iffy about straight leg pants, but they're seriously SO comfortable. I wish there were more sizes available in store, because I'd probably have bought a couple more in other colors!

These are the bow tie canvas ballet flats. While I think they're adorable, I own a pair similar, and wanted to try something different. I really love these though.

I also tried on the Espadrilles, but the ones I tried on were an off white and a black lace pair. They are very cute! I never saw these ones in store, and actually really love the color! I wish they had them there, I know I'd have been drawn to them. I usually go with black or white, or any neutral color, so they'll match anything, but these would have been my exception :-)

I like anything animal print, and these animal print flats are adorable. It took a while for me to decide on these, because I wasn't sure they'd match much, but they go great with black, brown, and white shades! I chose to get these with my coupon, and love them!

Here are a couple of my friends and I in the store:

I love how there were so many different styles to try! In this picture, we all have different styles. Pants, capris, jeggings, and shorts! And I think everyone looks great in their picks. In this picture, I'm wearing a pair of white Rockstar jeggings. I love them, but when it comes to jeans, I don't know if I can do white! I have a one year old daughter that I chase after all day long, and I have a feeling I'd ruin them. If I could pull it off, I would totally buy them. Can you tell my obsession for the jeggings yet? ;-)

You probably can't tell from the picture, but I wasn't too thrilled about the way the Flirt jeans fit me. There's too much room in the butt, hips, and thighs, like I mentioned earlier. My friend, Kendra, thought the same thing (she's the one taking the picture). Erica, first from left, is wearing the jeggings that I'm so obsessed with, and she looks great in them. I really think jeggings are flattering on most people!!

Here's a shoe shot :-) I'm wearing a pair of canvas flats (the white ones). I must say, I love Erica's leopard print wedges! They are SO CUTE. I'm definitely not a wedge person though! I was blessed with my height, and don't need the added height. I'm definitely much more a flats kind of girl :-)

Anyway, our time in the store was a lot of fun! Because of the reaction we were getting from employees, we didn't take too many pictures in store. We felt really silly and awkward, which has never been a problem there before. It put a slight damper on the experience, but we still made the best of it and had a great time! The checkout process was simple, which it always is. Of course everyone was excited to see how much they saved; free clothes are always a lot of fun! I asked the girls when we left to take some pictures at home, as we didn't get as many as we'd have liked in store, and I always ask them to anyway. It's nice to get a feel for how they like what they chose later on down the road, and not just the second they try it on.

We'll start with mine:

I love these jeans so much. They fit me perfectly, and that's exactly what I wanted.

And I love finding jeans that don't make my butt look saggy! Nothing worse than that!

Here she is in the braided espadrille wedges. She and Erica both have small feet, and luckily were able to find some shoes that actually fit them :-)

She had the same issues as me with the jeans fitting awkwardly, but these capris seem to fit her great.

She didn't care for many of the choices of shoes in the store, so she went with some flip flops. After all, everyone loves flip flops!

And last but not least, Erica:

I told Erica all about the Rockstar jeggings and how much I love them. She wears a size two, so she definitely has the problem of jeans looking awkward in the butt, thighs, and hips. I told her she would love the way these fit, and she did, and they look awesome on her!

I never received a picture of her shoes from her, but like I mentioned above, the animal print wedges she picked are super cute.

I've kept in contact with the girls since the party, and they're all loving their bottoms and shoes! I know for myself, my jeans get really good use. I love how I feel comfortable, but look cute at the same time. I'll definitely be buying more in the future.

With so many options, it was hard to decide, but we all went with what we fell in love with. There were other things I really loved as well, and will most likely be back in for!

I have to share what I picked up for my daughter also. Seriously, it doesn't get any cuter than her, does it? :-) I love how Old Navy has something for everyone. (Sorry for the poor phone quality phone :-p)
