We took the kids to McDonald's today for lunch and so they could play in the playplace. Gus and I had been trying to come up with something we could do where Desirae and Dylan could come as well. They all had Happy Meals. As much as I would have liked to resist my urge for French fries, I didn't. Lol. Oh well, I knew I'd burn them off anyway, and it's something I'll have to slowly work on. :P I did, however, discover the fruit and walnut salad. Anyone who knows me well knows that I LOVE fruit, and pretty much all of it. It's apples, grapes, yogurt, and walnuts; each in their own section so you can eat them separate, or I guess you could mix them...isn't that the point of a salad? I'm weird, so you know I wasn't mixing them! It will definitely be something I get from now on. I think I'll just downgrade to a small fry, then get that and I'll still be happy. Anyway, we brought the kids out after eating and it was soo hot out there. The sun was right on us. The kids had fun playing for a bit, but I noticed Makenzie sweating like crazy; I imagine it was hot in the playplace, as well as outside. They played for a bit, but not as long as last time because of how hot it was. I promised we'd let them go in the pool when we got home, anyway, and there was no whining when we left what so ever. Gus, Kenzie, and I went to Walmart and bought a gift for Chase's first birthday party, which is tomorrow. Then we came home and finally let the kids in the pool. Gus brought out the sprinkler and they had fun in that, too. After about a half hour, Kenzie started whining like she was tired (that girl and her naps lol), so I brought her inside to lay her down for a nap, and Gus stayed outside with Desirae and Dylan. Kenzie was out almost instantly, so I definitely think she was just sleepy.
When she woke up, we took our walk. Gah, sooo hot! I was debating taking our walk in the morning, but I kind of like the idea of doing it mid day, when the sun's shining. It makes you sweat more, and your body works harder to cool you off, which means you burn more calories THAT way. Good to know. :P I know, I sound like I'm becoming obsessed with this stuff, and I guess I kind of am. I'm trying to get in shape and am proud of myself for actually getting up and doing it instead of continuing to talk about it. I've wanted to do Insanity for a long time, and wish I had done it earlier, because it's the one thing that has motivated me the most, which still seems strange to me, since it's craaazy hard. When Kenzie went to bed, I did Day 4, which is Cardio Recovery. This is more like stretches and balance. I still won't even say this was easy, but it was definitely a nice break from the crazy cardio...although I'll also say I was a little disappointed because I was ready for it tonight. :) I'm sure tomorrow I'll be happy that today was a "break" day...
I've had a couple Beachbody coaches contact me, and they have been a HUGE help with figuring everything out. I've realized that if I actually want to get in shape, there's more to it than just the exercise. And no, it doesn't mean I have to eat 100% healthy, just DEFINITELY need to do better than I was. When you're always going out to eat and getting a chicken basket, yeah...not okay! And that's totally me. Speaking of, going out to eat should be interesting from here on out. Time to try new things! :P
Well, that's all for tonight, because while baby girl is sleeping, I'm going to relax and head to bed early!!
