Well, I think it's getting to be about that time of year where the weather slowly starts to change. I shouldn't say that, because it's only mid August, and it could very easily be hot, hot, hot still. But looking at the forecast, it looks like mid-70's all week. I don't mind, mid-70's-80 is usually about what I prefer. I don't care for the extreme heat unless I'm somewhere swimming alllll day long! I'm not that anxious for cold weather, but I'm excited to bring Kenzie out in the snow this year. I thinks she'll have a blast!
We went out to eat today, then did some shopping. We looked at toddler beds, because we have been wanting to get her one for a while now. Her crib converts into one, but cribs look so stupid converted into beds. She has been getting her feet and legs caught in the crib slats, and it occasionally will wake her up and she'll either cry until I go in and get them out, then fall back asleep, or she'll just cry a little and sleep like that. I hate that she would have to be stuck like that, so I check on her every night, and if she cries out at night, I'll go in and check. She's normally an amazing sleeper, so if she cries, it's usually the case. We want to redo her room anyway. We are going to do Minnie Mouse, since she's been pretty obsessed for a while. There is a bed with Minnie right on it, but I think we're going to go with a regular bed, and then do the Minnie bedding. This way, when she grows out of Minnie, her bed won't still have Minnie on it. :P It's just a much easier way to change the theme when we need to. I've seen a lot of cute things for her room, and dad is going to make her a toybox. I've also been doing a lot of browsing on Amazon and what not, for Christmas and birthday ideas. I've found a lot of cute stuff! She's going to be excited this year. :-) I've even found some awesome stuff for her birthday. One thing in particular, I'm really excited for, but I'll hold off on posting it, because too many people like to copy others peoples ideas, which drives me nuts!
I got another Old Navy party through Crowdtap. This one is for cardigans. I don't know if it's just a cardigan, or if there's anything else included. I guess we'll see when I get the stuff. I get to bring three friends with me, so it will be a lot of fun. :-) Now to decide who's coming with me. That is usually the hard part. It's free stuff, but it's hard getting three friends schedules to all work together, haha.
So, earlier, I was standing outside Kenzie's bedroom door. She was playing with her kitchen, and I was calling her name and was going to jump her when she came out (lol, I'm so mature). I saw her open the bottom drawer of her dresser and instantly scream, and she ran straight out the door screaming and half crying/whining. I went in to see what scared her, and there was a ball of hair. I'm assuming she thought it was a spider, or some sort of bug, because I could hear her in the living room go, "Nooo! Buggy!", thinking I was going to bring it out. Haha, I'm still laughing about it. She is so my child. I don't know how many times I've had a heart attack over something that LOOKED like a bug, but wasn't. Yesterday, she was chasing a butterfly, and every time she got too close, it would the chase her. She would run screaming; it was so funny. Then it landed and she stomped on it and killed it...little brat!
Oh! Her appointment went better this time around. She still freaked out, but it's most definitely just that she knows where she is. She was smiling, happy, running around, until we got into the room. The girl closed the door and she threw her arms in the air and dropped to the floor. HAHA. We managed to get her measured and weighed, although she fought it quite a bit. After that, the girl gave her a book and she was happy as can be. She's 18 lbs, 4 oz, and I was trying to calm her down when she said her height, but I do know she said she's in the 25th percentile (I THINK 31 inches). She's a tiny thing. I mentioned before how her doctor put in a request for pediasure. They found out that her insurance doesn't cover it unless they have more of a reason than just a weight gain issue. There is no other issue. I told her I wasn't worried. She is a very happy little girl, and she is super active. If she was starving or had any serious problems, she would not be this way. We are going back in, I believe, October, to have her weighed again, just to check on her. We are going the same with her regular doctor. Fine by me, although I know she's just meant to be small! She had to have blood work done, too, to test her iron. I had her on my lap and she was fine, until the girl turned to her with gloves on and the needle in hand. She really KNOWS what these people are doing. She instantly started crying. She did good though, and was fine after, other than the diiiiirty looks she was giving, lol! Most little girls are scared of doctors and shots, so this is kind of expected. She still did well, considering.
Well, since the princess has been asleep for a while, guess I should put myself to good use and clean, then make some money ;P Goodnight!
