Eeek

Yikes, I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on camera and photography stuff. It annoys me that people think I'm trying to do it as a job. Sure, it's nice that so many people think my pictures look good, but I do it for fun. What REALLY annoys me is photographers that get irritated with other people doing what they love to do, whether it be as a job or a hobby. Even if I DID want to do it as a job, just because a person is a photographer, that doesn't mean they have the right to look down on someone for doing something they enjoy. I'm pretty sure that's how all photographers started out.

ANYWAY...point  being, I'm excited to be able to take pictures of Makenzie, Desirae, Dylan, and the baby on the way (no, not mine, but I guess that's the most I can say for now)! I bought some wood at Marden's today to use as a wood floor prop. It wasn't too expensive, and hopefully will look good. I don't know if Makenzie will cooperate with me when I try to take her pictures though; that girl is ALWAYS on the go!

I also have a new lens on the way. I'm really excited for that, because I have been wanting another one. I'm anxious for warmer weather, when the kids don't need to be all bundled up!

We had lunch at Marden's today. It's a quiet little place, and they're so nice. We both got chicken baskets and it's usually really good. It wasn't bad, but a little overcooked. Makenzie had fun walking around while we waited for our food. She is such a little show off, and people are always amazed to see such a little thing not only walking, but RUNNING around! She's a smart girl. She's napping now, then we're going to take all the kids out in the snow. Desirae and Dylan are so excited to be able to go outside! Makenzie had fun in the snow yesterday. We got probably 6-10 inches (I can't tell by looking at it, that's why I give a range lol). :)

Well, she should be up soon so I suppose I'm going to check the mail and then get ready to go outside!

  1. I think you should do it :) The pictures Ive seen are adorable and if other photographers get mad let em it just means they are insecure and do not think their work is as good, or would be afraid of having to lower their ridiculously high prices to compete;)

  2. Well thing is, I've never intended it to be a job. It's a hobby for me, but a lot of photographers just see you trying to learn to take great pictures and get annoyed about it. They once went after something they loved doing, so I don't see why some photographers act all high and mighty! Some are VERY full of themselves!
