Well, the majority of today was a lazy day for me and Kenzie. I actually didn't intend to go outside, because I didn't intend to even get dressed! But when I went to check the mail, I decided I'd bring Kenzie out. She loves to be outside, and spends a lot of time looking out the window when she's inside. I love seeing her face when I open the door, or when I walk down the stairs with her. She gets SO excited! She usually lets out a big squeal. I thought to put one of the bows Gina sent us in her hair, and then thought it'd be cute to put her in her romper and pearls so I could take the pictures. It's pretty hard to get her to stay still for pictures even inside, but outside is a whole different story! She just wants to run and play, which is normal for a little girl :) I got a few cute ones though, and this is my favorite! She is too cuteee. She has the prettiest eyes I've ever seen, and look at that curly hair! She got all Daddy's features...the curly hair, the hair color, the skin tone. I'm pretty jealous that my one year old has better color than I do!
Anyway, some people have asked how my aunt is doing. She had surgery last Thursday for the other part of her leg and for her big toe on the other side. From talking to Gabby, it sounds like she was in a lot of pain after that for a while. Pain is to be expected, especially with something like this, but it sounded like the nurses weren't doing enough to make her comfortable. I know Gabby will speak her mind if need be. She's recovering, and like I said, it'll be a long road, but she will be okay. We are going to visit her next weekend after the kids party.
So, I'm trying to get Gus to help discuss a wedding date with me. I know we plan to wait til probably 2014, but I still want to set a date. I still can't decide if I want to do indoor or outdoor. I'd kind of like a place where we can go inside last minute if need be, but if we do it outside where we wanted, I don't know as though we'd even have to pay anything, so it's hard to decide. There are a million little details, and I'd like to plan as we go; that's kind of the point in waiting a couple years. Plus a while back, him and I had been fighting a lot. That's normal, and I'm sorry, but anyone who says they don't fight with their significant other, or never has any problems, is flat out lying. We never had really big issues, just petty things that were really stupid. It's hard when we have a kid, and he works overnights. I'm blessed to be able to stay at home with Makenzie, and I love it. I do need a break though, even if it's just to shower alone, or I will go insane. So I really think a big part of the issue was him working overnights, and me trying to do everything else myself. We've been doing a lot better lately, and I'm happy for that. He won't let me announce my bridesmaids yet, although I have been super excited to do so. We have to make sure we have the same number on each side, and that's harder for him than me haha. It'll all come together though :)
Well, Kenzie's been asleep for a while, and I suppose I'm going to relax until I'm tired. Goodnight!
