Sunshineee

I wasn't really sure about today when I woke up. I knew it was supposed to be in the mid 80's, but it looked so dreary out. I was a little bummed, because I was looking forward to a nice day.

We took a bunch of laundry to the laundromat early this morning. We're doing a switchover and packing the winter clothes, and taking out the summer ones. We figured that doing the washing at the laundromat would be the quickest way to get it done. It was quick and easy, and Makenzie had fun playing with the toys. I won her a yellow stuffed animal in one of those stuffed animal machines. I don't think I've ever won on one of those, and was pretty excited...I'd probably have started jumping up and down if the girl working there wasn't right in front of me, haha. Gus was complaining that I was wasting 50 cents (yeah, a whole 50 cents lol), so he kind of laughed when I did win. Kenzie was pretty excited about it, too :) She also got to ride the batmobile they have outside. She loved it! She got a ton of compliments on her little outfit, which she always seems to, especially when wearing the little rompers :)

After our laundry was done, we came home. We were going to go to Red Robin, but figured it wasn't worth going all the way to Augusta just for lunch, plus it was only 9:30, so it'd be a bit of a wait. We came home and started folding laundry instead. Gus picked up The Landing, and I was perfectly fine with that. I gave Kenzie a nap after, then we got up and folded more laundry. So much laundryyy. Kenzie loves to tears things apart that you have folded, so I eventually gave up and took her outside in the pool while Gus folded, haha. I got in too, and it's still cold. I think it's just when you initially get in, it takes a little while to get used to it.

We got the laundry done and the winter clothes packed, but also got a lot of cleaning done too, which is nice. It really needed to be done. I tried something I found on Pinterest to get some stains out of the carpet from Kenzie throwing her food. It seems to have worked okay. I don't know if it removed them completely, but definitely helped. I love how you can find anything on there!

Speaking of, I have been trying to make a list of healthy foods, mostly from ideas I get on Pinterest. I really want to try to start eating a little more healthy. I've been tracking calories on my iPod, and let me tell you...the stuff I eat seems to be packed with calories! It was hard for me to stay within my allotted amount. But every day, I tried to make it work, and have so far! It just helps a lot with trying not to overeat, if you can stick with it anyway. I know it's easy to give in.

So anyone who follows my blog probably knows everything my aunt went through with finding out she has diabetes and being rushed to the hospital, etc. She has been on dialysis because her kidneys were failing. They had told her she could come off dialysis, which I'm sure was great news. But earlier, they told her she had to stay on dialysis and needed a kidney transplant. I know it was hard to get that news after hearing what was some good news. She has definitely been through a lot in a very short amount of time, but she's done well with everything so far, and this is just one more obstacle she will have to overcome. If you could please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, she and the rest of the family could always use them, and they're appreciated.

Well, never did get to reading any of my photography books last night, so I'm going to attempt to tonight...so that's where I'm headed now. Goodnight!
