Juneee

Wow, I seriously can't believe it's June already! This year is flying by so quickly.

I haven't kept this as updated as I normally would, but I've been busy. Plus, I'd rather enjoy any sunshine I can with Makenzie while we have the chance :) The kids love going in the pool, but it now needs to be emptied and cleaned. It's the type of pool that you have to do that to often. I like that it was cheap and the perfect size for all of them, but wish it didn't get so dirty so fast! It works for now though.

I got my Old Navy coupons in the mail the other day. Michelle and I each get a free bathing suit. They have some really cute styles, so I can't wait to go and try them on. I bought from Wal-Mart a few months ago, and I love the color (purple), but I always like having more than one. I had like 15 at LEAST, from having just held onto them all over the years, and since Gus accidentally threw away the bag with ALL my summer clothes, that total went down to ZERO. So, I'm in need of summer clothes too, so it'll be time to do some shopping soon :)

I also got into the Grill Mate's, Madagascar, and Woolite parties...fun!! :)

We took Makenzie to McDonald's yesterday, then went to the park. She loves going there! It amazes me that some mom's will be on one side of the park, while their kid is on another. There was one mom pushing an infant on the baby swings, and her son, who looked maybe two, was on the other side, near me. I was thinking wow, really?! I mean, this is Maine, and it doesn't seem that kids are kidnapped often, but it could happen. That's way too young for a kid to be out of their mother's sight! I follow Makenzie everywhere, I don't care haha. I'm also super paranoid about her falling, so that's part of it, too :P

Makenzie has been doing good. She's got a tan already from this summer...and I'm jealous of course haha. I'm so glad she got Daddy's skin tone. I don't think light skinned is ugly at all; it's better than some of the leather skinned looking people (haha), but it IS a pain in the ass. I shouldn't be surprised, because she has all his features pretty much, other than the eyes. Her eyes are just her own I guess, because they are blue around the rim, then either green or hazel in the middle, depending. She has the prettiest eyes :) And of course those curls! We let her walk with us at Wal-Mart the other day, and she LOVED it. I thought a lot of people stopped to look at us IN the cart...holy cow, I think everyone stopped to talk to her, or I at least heard them pointing her out to someone else. Too funny. We are most definitely going to have our hands full when she's older.

She is developing quite the little attitude. She picked up on the crossing arms, looking down with her eyes up (you know, the mad face lol), and saying no, from her cousins. It's hilarious when she does it, but she looks like such a brat haha. And when she doesn't get her way, she sometimes will throw the biggest fit. Very normal for any and all kids, especially at her age. She's pretty good with sharing, but lately has gotten upset if someone has something she wants. Dylan likes to take things from her, and she will get so upset about it. She's very good most of the time though, and is very happy! I taught her a few weeks ago how to do the "cheese face". So funny! I still can't really get her to look and stay looking for pictures, but maybe someday :P Speaking of, a friend made me a cookie monster to go over my lens (obviously a hole, the "mouth"), and it's supposed to be something to get kids to look at the camera. She was nice enough to make them for a bunch of us girls in our photography group for free! They are super cute!

Kenzie has been repeating everythingggg we say lately. She's always been good with her talking, but oh my goodness...haha. EVERYTHING! And I don't know why it makes me laugh how she will associate things with something else; kind of like her way to tell us what she wants. She will bring her shoes to me, then try to put them on, and will say, "Outside." She'll bring me bubbles, and say, "Bubbles!" then when I blow them, she goes, "Pop, pop!" She knows what everything means. I will say pool, and she climbs in the window to see her pool. When it's time to eat, I'll say, "Get in your seat!" and she will climb into her highchair (it's adjustable, and we put it down low for her). She'll pick up a piece of trash, and I'll say, "Put it in the trash," and she does, then after, she says, "Good girl!" haha! I could go on and on. She's definitely a little miss smarty pants :)

I'm buying a new lens soon, and am excited to try it out. It's nice being able to buy these things for pretty much free; it's all from gift cards earned online. And if you think, I'm not on the computer that often during the day when Makenzie is up, so that's pretty good! It paid for my camera as well, which is very nice. I've got a couple new things in mind to try out to make even more. I just applied for a call center job, though, and would love to get that. We shall see.

Well, it was nice to sleep in a bit today, although I'm not a fan of sleeping the day away. I guess that's why I've always been a morning person. Strange that I was more tired waking up at almost nine than I ever am waking up at the normal 6:30/7 haha. Time to shower and spend the day with my little family :)
