This will be quick, as we're in the middle of lunch. I will be posting Madagascar pictures later from the kids party, after I upload them. :)

So, this is lame, but I am SO excited that I finally figured out the manual focus on my camera. It really is SIMPLE, but I didn't even know how to use it until I read about it online. I'm so happy I figured it out, because pictures look so much better when I use it. Sure, it took me a while to figure it out, but you learn something new every day!

Speaking of, I'm still waiting on my new lens. First, I noticed I accidentally sent it to our old baby buddy, Autumn. Haha, glad I caught that, not that I'd have worried much had it been sent to her. Better her than most people! I cancelled it and reordered, and a couple days later, it said the card wouldn't go through. I checked the bank account, and apparently our Netflix had come out just before, so there wasn't enough money. I only had charged $7 to our card, so I just used another Amazon gift card and reordered again. It still says shipping soon, but is estimated to arrive between the 14th and 16th. I can't wait to get it and try it out! I wanted to have it before Michelle's pictures so that I have another lens to add to the two I have.

So the weather has been nice lately...for the most part. It's good to get outside. We walk around the China Village block a lot, and take Kenzie to the playground in Winslow. We like taking her to that one so much better. There are never a lot of people there, so it's easier for her to play without me worrying she'll get hurt. She has a blast :) 

So, I've decided I'm not going out of my way for anyone anymore. It has been really annoying lately to try to make time for people who can't do the same for you. I have too many good friends to waste my time on that kind of stuff. And no, this isn't about anyone who will likely ever read this, but I guess it could be something I'm sticking to in general as well. You really do find out who your friends are. As you get older, it really, really is quality over quantity.

Well, the munchkin is almost done eating her lunch, and after my pointless rambling, I guess I'm done. We are all heading outside to play in a little bit while it's so nice out :)
