I seriously can't believe it's the middle of June already. Where has the time gone? It truly does feel like it goes by even faster when you have kids!
We had a good weekend. It was nice out all weekend, so we enjoyed being outside for most of it. On Saturday, we had a BBQ at Chelsey's. The weather seemed iffy in the morning, and it was just so overcast and looked like it was going to rain. I was a little annoyed, because the weather had said completely sunny and 73*, which sounded perfect to me. Luckily, the sun DID come out, and it warmed right up...and just in time for the BBQ! It went well. Everyone had a fun time, and it was nice spending the day with family (minus dad, he had to work!). The picture above is a picture mom took of me with my sisters and our boyfriends/husbands and kids. The kids all had a blast playing in the yard. Kenzie loved riding in Desirae's jeep, and of course was the one playing with the radio and dancing!
Sunday we ended up sleeping in, and didn't end up going to town til closer to noon. We picked up a few things, and picked up lunch at KFC. There was a fight in the KFC parking lot (well, a ways back from it). Seriously, the things that happen in Waterville lately are ridiculous. Anyway, later in the day, I went down to dad's, but he had gone to the beach. If we had known way ahead of time, we'd have gone too! It definitely wasn't super warm on Sunday (not for the beach anyway), but it was still nice out, and would be fun to at least walk around. I'm willing to bet they went early and came back late, and Kenzie loves her naps, so I don't know how it'd have worked out anyway.
I feel like Kenzie should have her check up soon. I keep waiting for them to call. We always lose the cards, because well, three months is a long time to hold onto them haha. She is doing great though. It amazes me how much that girl talks; it's TOO funny! She repeats everything, and I mean everything. She even says some things in sentences. She knows what to do when you say certain things, like, "Throw that away," or "Let's go get in the tubby," etc. When you tell her to pick up her toys, she will. She stands on the little bench at mom's and sings and dances, which she learned from the kids. She's definitely a little singer/dancer. She is always dancing anyway, but even in the car. It's so funny watching her. And she's so smart! I'm not surprised, because she has always been ahead on everything, but I still laugh all the time because I'm just amazed. She has switched her sleeping patterns up a bit...for naps anyway. She'll wake up in the morning and then want to sleep again not even two hours later. So, it's almost as though she only wakes to eat and play for a little bit, then back to bed. Then she usually wants another nap by noon, which is still fairly close to the first nap! I just go with it though. It leaves a long gap til bedtime, but I have tried using that time for her to hangout with the kids, because she doesn't really get tired with them. Then she's usually out by 6:30/7, and sleeps all night til about 7. I'm perfectly fine with that, because it's about 12 hours of sleep for her, and I have plenty of time either to spend to myself, or to spend sleeping. I have been an idiot lately and have sat up til 11, which I need to stop doing. When I do lay down, it takes me foreverrr to fall asleep. Anyway...I'm anxious to see what she weighs at her appointment. I'm thinking maybe 18. She is SO SMALL! I had shorts on her the other day and they kept falling off, even rolled up. I looked at the tag, and they are 3-6 months. I love love love small babies, but I do hope she has grown. I just want to make sure she's healthy. :) She's one of the happiest babies I've ever seen though, so I think she's just fine! Now that I think of it, her appointment is probably in a couple weeks, since she's 18 months in July. Who knowwws...it's a good thing they call. ;)
My birthday is tomorrow...26. That just sounds old. It's supposed to be 93*, so I'm thinking it's probably going to be one of the nicest days of the summer...and on my birthday! God must know it's a special day haha, because on top of that, it's one of the longest days of the year! :P I'm just joking...but really! :)
I suppose it's time for me to think about heading to bed. Not sure what we'll be up to tomorrow. If it's as hot as they're saying, I will probably be sitting in the pool with the kiddos :P
