7/3/12

I have been feeling a little better today.  I haven't been coughing AS much, although it's still there. At least there's little improvement; it's been driving me nuts. Usually I don't complain about a cold, but seriously, it's only really bad when I'm laying down. I'll lay down with Kenzie and try so hard not to cough and wake her up or something...so annoying.

Anyway, mom sent a link about a car accident in Milbridge. Once again, they believe drinking was involved, and it killed a 21 year old boy. I was clueless as to why she sent it at first, and thought it was just because it was in Milbridge, where we used to live. Well, turns out it's the son of a family we used to hangout with all the time when we lived there. I slowly remembered him and their family, etc. It's really weird, because a week ago, I messaged Michelle and asked her if she remembered the time we were up there and went camping out on the island. She said yes, and I asked who it was we dropped in the ocean. Haha, Michelle and I were at the top of the dock, and Jared was in a boat at the bottom. There was a lobster trap, and he said he was going to jump on it and wanted us to pull him up. All I remember is as soon as he stepped on it, the rope slipped from our hands, and he fell in the water. We laughed about that for a long time. I also remember how there were tons of gigantic rocks by the edge of the island, near the dock. Michelle, Jared, and I were pounding on them with smaller (but still big) rocks, and we were saying how if we kept coming every summer, eventually we'd chip all the rocks away. HAHA. It's just weird to me that I hadn't thought about any of this in YEARS and YEARS, and I brought it up less than a week before he passed away. It's strange how life works. I've always thought it was so weird how some people you pass on the street, that could be the only time you'll ever see them in your life. Not necessarily because they are going to pass away, but you just might never run into them. I've always thought it's pretty cool how there's so many people in the world, and we were each chosen to be who we are, have the parents and siblings we have, live where we are, etc.
Totally different topic, but I got the Samsung Galaxy S2 that I won in the mail. I LOVE IT!! It is a pretty sweet phone! It's an Android touchscreen. It reminds me of my iPod a lot, but it's bigger. We are thinking about doing the $25 prepaid plan, but I'm going to try to talk Gus into the $45 plan with StraightTalk. I definitely think a phone like this should have a data plan, as much as it does, so I'm hoping he agrees. ;)
Kenzie thought the flash on my phone was so funny. :) I say it all the time, but I can't get over how cute she is! She makes me smile. I'm excited to put her 4th of July outfit on her tomorrow. I had completely forgot about it until today. We are bringing her to the parade in the morning, and we will probably hangout there for a while. We are skipping the fireworks, because this girl is usually in bed by 6:30. She's only a year old, so I don't see it necessary to keep her up that late, and don't even know if she'd like them. Plus, all our lovely neighbors will likely be shooting them off anyway, ha.

I'm still waiting for Josh to burn my Insanity dvd's, but I found them online also, and am going to start. I'm planning on tonight, but am slacking big time, so who knows if that'll happen. I need to find something to motivate myself. I don't necessarily have a hard time working out, but eating good rather! I have no idea how to eat healthy! I wish someone could teach me lol. I think I'm going to start using the calorie counter app on my phone again, that had been helpful to me. As for sticking with Insanity, I've seen a lot of other peoples results, and that is what has me so impatient to start. I've always been thin, so it's not a matter of wanting to lose weight, but rather wanting to get toned. Just Google "Insanity before and after", and go to images, and you can see a lot of pictures of people that have done it. Michelle told me it's hard work, but it works! And when I said how I eat horribly, she said it burns so many calories that it'd still probably work great. I will have to take out the camera and do the before and after pictures, too. :P Enough talking, I suppose I will finish up everything for the night and give it a try! Wish me luck!
