Blah...

This will be short, since I'm not feeling that great. I have a nasty cold, and it has been making me pretty tired. I did still take Kenzie outside today, because it's not like I'm sick enough to do nothing. There are many things worse than a cold. My cough has gotten awful though, and pretty much never stops. In my experience with coughs, when it gets to this point, it's at it's worst, so I'm just hoping I'll be better soon. :)

Michelle's baby shower went good! There was a pretty good turnout, and she got a lot of great things! We went to Nana's Friday night with Chelsey, Steven, and the kids. We stopped at Friendly's and had lunch before we left. When we got to Nana's, it was already 5:30. Normally, I have Kenzie to bed by 6:30, so 5:30 is when we start to get things calmed down, and get ready for bed. I figured I'd keep her up a little later though, since the kids were there, and it was a new place. I think we went in the bed around 9. She went down in the pack and play fine...I don't know why I was worried. She did get woken up a couple times, but did good after that. I was annoyed with how loud it was, as there were kids screaming RIGHT OUTSIDE our door, but what can ya do, and it was one night. After that, she slept right through til morning; not bad for a new place. She never had a nap Saturday, then we were at the shower from like 1-4, so I was kind  of worried about how she'd handle the rest of the day. We left soon after the shower, and she cried for probably 15 minutes in the car, then passed out til we got to Waterville. Then she cried the entire way home, and when we got back, she wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with Gus. If I even tried to pass her to him, she cried hysterically. Obviously she was just super tired. It was only like 5:30, but I put her to bed anyway. Poor girl was probably exhausted. She loves to nap, so to not even have one (other than in the car, which was maybe 40 minutes), she was probably pooped! We had a lot of fun though, and as usual, it was nice to see family. Nana bought Kenzie a turtle sand box. I'm excited for mom to come home so that we can set it up for her. :)

Chelsey has been on vacation all week, and is until Thursday. Today, Kenzie has kept grabbing my hands and singing, "Ashes, ashes, dowwwn!" Lol. She plays ring around the rosie with Desirae and Dylan all the time, and I know she misses them. She is such a smart cookie. Some kids her same age don't even say many words, but she's a little chatter box, and it's funny to hear her sing parts of songs. We will see the kids Wednesday for the parade, which I'm sure she'll be happy about. I'm sure she'll love the parade too!

Blah, I so wish Jaime lived closer. I'm seriously over having friends who are only around when it's convenient for them, and I just miss my old friends a lot lately. You do find out who your friends are, and people do either prove themselves to be true, or they don't; I guess that's life.

Well, I suppose I'm going to lay down early tonight. I'm hoping to feel a little better tomorrow! Goodnight!
